I agree that It's the only thing that we want but if we follow on what it was made for, then It can give you serious traffic & rankings both at the same time.

Straight up, Stop commenting on those blogs which aren't related to your niche.

This is a huge factor when it comes to these kinds of links. First of all most of them are Nofollow links by default & on top of that, it isn't related to your niche. That's nothing but a disaster to your backlinks profile.

Let me tell you how you should do it.

When you write an article, It surely would be answering some questions in the first place.

Suppose if I wrote an article on "How much tax you need to pay" - Now it is answering a question as you can see.

Now you need to find out all the websites that are talking about taxes and go to each and every single one of them.

Check the comments. if some of them are having any doubts regarding the topic then answer them in detail. You can also check if the writer has skipped some information in the article, Then you can tell him in the comments that this information is missing and take a link back instead.

Also, check if the article is having any kind of broken links. If it has, DM or E-mail that person straight away and ask them to substitute that link with yours.

Same way you can go to different forums and get juicy backlinks in return of sharing something valuable to them.

This is what blog comments are meant for. Sharing knowledge in the community.

Don't Destroy the beauty of them by doing third class Spamming.
